The current expiring warranties feature lacks SMU tracking, clear warranty type differentiation, flexible filtering, reliable activity logging, efficient campaign integration, and automated activity creation.
Enhance the feature with SMU-based tracking, combined warranty type filtering, improved expiration timeframe filters, reliable activity logging, easy export for campaigns, enhanced marketing integrator support, and configurable automated activity creation.
Here are the currently planned enhancements:
Calculation of SMU-Based Expiration
Problem
The system currently does not accurately project warranty expirations based on SMU hours, making it impossible to identify machines nearing their SMU limit through this metric.
Solution
Implement accurate calculation of SMU-based expiration by projecting future SMU usage based on historical data and determining the earlier of time-based or projected SMU expiration dates.
Streamlined campaign creation from expiring warranties
Problem
Creating marketing campaigns based on expiring warranties is a manual and inefficient process, lacking easy export capabilities and sufficient equipment data for personalization.
Solution
Streamline campaign creation by enabling easy export of relevant machine and customer data for upload to marketing tools and enhancing the marketing integrator to include serial numbers and other equipment data in campaigns.
Improved expiring warranties list
Problem
The existing list of expiring warranties is difficult to use for proactive sales because it doesn't account for SMU-based expirations, doesn't distinguish between standard and extended warranties, has limited filtering options, and has unreliable activity tracking.
Solution
Improve the list by adding SMU-based tracking, a combined warranty type filter, dynamic expiration timeframe filters, and reliable activity logging with functioning icons and toggles.

We’ve noticed that some of the expiring warranties that show up on the Expiring Warranties report and the SalesLink Suggestions do not take into consideration if that machine has an extended warranty that will roll over once the standard warranty expires.
Basically, both reports show machines that shouldn't show up because those machines have extended warranties that will come into effect. Is there a way to filter these out and only show machines that either have an expiring standard warranty and no extended warranty OR an expiring extended warranty?
Also on the Expiring Warranties Report, is there a way to filter out expiring warranties based on the kind of warranty (ie: Under Carriage, Emissions)?
Without these, the report and suggestions would throw more work on our reps since they would need to validate if these are expiring warranties we can generate business from.

The current logic in this view is too simplistic. It only looks for any machine with ANY expiring warranty type in a given month. In one example, the standard warranty did expire in March 2020, BUT it has an extended warranty that goes out to 2022. Any ideas on smarter logic to account for this?
