In the Sales Management Process we ask sales reps to set PAR goals and enter activities up to that PAR goal, since one of the SMP Standards that the company has set for machine sales reps is to maintain a minimum PAR of 4 for each customer. When a new account is created or an account is reassigned midyear, the percentage of PAR complete has to be manually calculated per rep/per account. Unfortunately, with the size of our dealership it is impossible to do this for every rep, every month and for every customer. The result is an incomplete and inaccurate PAR percentage report. If you were able to take the assignment date when calculating how many activities should be entered at any given point throughout the year it would eliminate the errors in the report surrounding account assignments without having to have a gatekeeper constantly updating DBS with changing PAR goals.
General Description
PARS to calculate from when the PAR was created, rather than annually.
T-shirt Size: S - 1 sprint
*Note : The date assigned is a date in DBS. We’re not sure if we have that date. The estimate assumes we have access to it.
Who (is this for): Sales Managers who review PAR Performance |
What (is it): a minor change to improve the usability of PAR reporting, |
Why (is this important): The current calculation provides misleading interpretation |
When (would you use this): Prior to full year data being available |
Where / How would you access it?: In SalesLInk UII in the reporting section |
Availability: The default status for all dealers will be: (On/Off)
Configurability: Dealers will be able to turn this On/Off themselves (True/False).
Alternatively, they could provide access to the customer table that shows the date when the account was assigned. In the on-prem environment that information could be found here:
