(WesTrac) Enhance Service Pipeline Visibility by Including Segment Store Allocation

The Service Pipeline is intended to serve as a WIP dashboard tailored to the user’s selected store and cost centre. However, it does not currently distinguish between header and segment allocations, which undermines its effectiveness as a true operational dashboard.
WIP includes all open work orders until closed or invoiced, but again, this is filtered by header store only. This contradicts the goal of providing a comprehensive view of active work.

This enhancement aligns with the core objectives of ServiceLink—to digitize and streamline work order management, improve visibility, and support operational excellence. By incorporating segment store allocation into the Service Pipeline view, we can deliver a more accurate, efficient, and user-centric experience.
Update the Service Pipeline logic to include work orders based on segment store allocation in addition to the header store. This would allow users to:

  • View all work orders that have segments assigned to their store.

  • Gain a more accurate and actionable understanding of their store’s WIP.

  • Improve accountability and responsiveness across teams.

Benefits:

  • Operational Accuracy: Ensures each store sees the full scope of work they are responsible for.

  • Improved Planning: Enables better forecasting and resource allocation.

  • Enhanced Reporting: Aligns WIP metrics with actual workload.

  • User Confidence: Builds trust in the system’s ability to reflect real-time operational data.
