Instead of having only 1 approver group per service writer/manager/scheduler, it would be ideal to be able to have more than one approver group per person because this would help the service department out when it comes to approving labor/time for technicians.

What problem is your idea trying to solve?
We are trying to solve accessibility issues esp. when a service writer/manager/scheduler is not available to approve time/labor for technicians. It also helps us admins because right now I am going into ServiceLink to switch approver groups for service writer/manager/scheduler so they are able to help assist those who are out of town/sick/on leave. This would help reduce time as well as ensure that technicians work is being approved on time. |
Approver groups are managed in DBS.
Suggest taking the same approach as another dealer, who has single approval number, which translates to multiple approval groups within DBS (screenshot below).
