This idea is to prevent or give the option to stop anything you do on the base model level from affecting the sub-models under that base model. I just recently put in a ticket to have specific documents uploaded globally to all base models in iQuote and in doing so, all of the saved files on the sub model level were completely wiped out and ended up just creating more work.
