If quoting for corp/national accounts/spars discounts are calculated off of list. Reps occasionally quote on paper and back the numbers into IQuote as we don’t have the corporate account functionality enabled as it doesn’t fit into our IQuote strategy
When looking at multiple machines and seeing identical list prices, this is an easy way for a rep to assume that the configurations are identical. While that’s not the best method, it is used occasionally. Vice versa, it can also be an indication of different specs if the list prices are not identical.
When looking at a configuration prior to quoting you can see individual list prices, but not a total. Adding a total to IQuote was the basis behind this idea. We are a DBS user, total list is visible in DBS, thought it might be an easy add to IQuote
Seeing list price can also be used as an indicator to which machines took a price increase which is very common these days
We understand you can get total list once you quote, but seeing before quoting is also beneficial
I’m sure there are others, but that idea was entered awhile ago with the assumption that it would be an easy add and other dealers may also find it beneficial as our sales reps requested this.
