Currently, the capability of governmental quotes is really just linked to governmental specific costs (warranty, ect). In recent conversations with Caterpillar, there is a big emphasis on ensuring the National Contract customer receives the same quote format each time that outlines the specifics: discount off list + extras - any additional discounts), Our reps are quoting these the best they can but not providing all the required info so the National Contract vendors (Sourcewell, Buyboard, ect) are reaching out to CAT to verify information that we have provided, who then reach out to us to get it adjusted then presented back to the customer. I can think of 2-3 ways of a "work around" the way the system is currently set up, but I wold like to see the system drive ONE way to get it done and have the quote come out the same way each time to prevent all of the extra work from being done.
This would be very similar to how the corporate account functionality is set up with a different quote format, tied to governmental specific costs (warranty, ect). So the ground work is already, laid we just need some additional dealer input and buy in. CAT documents will be attached with some further explanation
