In an effort to assist adding CVA's at the time of machine quoting (meeting Cat's new metrics, etc), multiple dealers have requested integration between CSAQ & iQuote. At a high level, the CVA Administrator would create a CVA in the quoter and push the information to either a quote or a serial number. We still need to work through the requirements, but would like to understand the appetite for this integration from the dealer community.
Problem to Solve:
In iQuote to have the ability to quote CSA contracts manual entries are required in Model Admin, the prices are entered manually and has to be done for each model. There is also no way to account for serial number splits
The idea is to be able to integrate iQuote with CSA Quoter and take advantage.
The solution needs to be simple and fast and not much input from the MSR
Scope:
There are several potential solutions
Option 1 User in iQuote creates a quote in CSA Quoter and it links back the price
Pro - easy integration
Con - more work for user
Option 2 Dealer creates template quotes and links those to Model Admin
Pro - Easy integration
Con - Work in CSA Q to handle basically a template Quote, it does not do that now
Option 3 From iQuote, when they want to quote the CSA part they have a drop down that list the various packages that are defined in CSA Quoter
The user selects the package
iQuote calls a service in CSA Quoter, pass in the model/serial number
CSA Quote will look at the package, the related event types and tie it to the correct standard jobs
If a serial number is not passed the user might need to click a serial number range to get to the correct std jobs
If there is not a standard job found the use should have the capability to select a different model or serial number range
Pro - Accurate and no additional setup in iQuote or CSA Q
Con - More work to handle the integration
