We have several outlying processes that require information to be communicated from the sales department at time of machine sale (from iQuote) that we would like the ability to track and monitor in a workflow similar to COTI. We however do not want to integrate these to the current invoicing/COTI workflow because it would potentially delay invoicing. We currently handle these processes manually (painfully) or not at all, so to be able to create a parallel workflow within COTI apart from invoicing would be ideal.
Some of these processes include New Machine Delivery, Used Inspection Request & Approval, CSA enrollment, ect but I believe it could be widely used for various things depending on the dealers need.
Hi Kelly: John, Peter and I were reviewing this item and we believe that some of this could be potentially managed with existing functionality in a few places. Creating an outstanding Activity in SalesLink for the Sales Rep at the time of the Quote being won is an example. Another option could be the use of Tasks within COTI. Thank you.
Yea, I think so. Example: if there is a CSA on the quote, it should create a CSA workflow for our CSA group to enroll it that is separate from our normal phases. Or do something similar with any other data (maybe even from DBS, ex: New Machine Delivery inspection requirement from CAT, or Onboarding the deal/customer with CAT eSolutions accounts, parts store, activate a subscription to Vision Link, ect.
Hi Kelly, are you talking about expanded workflow such as contracts, service operations, etc.?
