I joined a TFR webinar today to learn how Texas First Rental (a Holt Company) integrates the Dodge project data into SalesForce and how reps engage with it. As long as a platform could be built to intake these records into SalesLink, create lead records for rental and sales opportunities (the word lead is actually the rep creating an opportunity for themself), link to or create new prospect accounts, then the reps would have the ability to stay within 1 system to search, qualify and close the opportunity.
- The search functionality is basically the same as if a user logged into the Cat Portal for Dodge reports – very flexible.
- The Dodge Projects and Companies are not linked to accounts within RentalMan.
- When the user creates a lead from the Dodge data, the system creates a new customer record from the information (for Holt it would be a prospect account). If a match is found before the record is saved, a prompt will appear to alert the user that a duplicate record is in the database. The user can accept the record and link the lead to it, or they can click through the pop-up message and ultimately create another account.
- Users can add/delete zip codes for their territory – leave the responsibility of managing the territory back on the rep and not the admin that set’s up the user.
Uptake will start this development in late May and are targetting Q3 or Q4 of 2019 to release it.
This was an item thoroughly discussed in Chicago last year. Uptake should have plenty of input data.
