When adding an actitivty, subject gets prefilled with customer name deleting what was put in the subject

When reps add an activity,  SUBJECT line is the first field that they need to fill out. Once they fill it out and choose customer, the SUBJECT  field automatically gets prefilled deleting what they have entered before to customer name. It is really frustrating for reps.
