Purpose
Provide the ability to add URLs to the Safety messages in ServiceLink
Fabick wants their users to click and navigate to Velocity for their Safety training, T5 workflows.
Velocity is a specialized tool for EHS https://www.ehs.com/. It provides industry-specific Safety training https://www.ehs.com/solutions/safety/training-learning/
Problem to solve
Dealer wants to be able to redirect technicians to safety or work policies posted in other 3rd parts systems like Velocity, HRIS, etc. They want tech to review the safety before they start the work. If the tech is not filling out the health and safety, it is a liability for the dealer.
Currently the SVL Admin can only post text, no hyperlinks.
Note: The safety training needs to be done before each segment and it is specific to the segment they are working on.
In the dealer's ideal world, technicians would see the safety message within each segment. Currently, the URL to the T5 Velocity Forms is static; however, it could be a use case for having different links depending on the segment. The immediate need is to add a static URL.
Also, in their idea, Flex would integrate with this other 3rd party mobile app for Safety forms. We might want to find out more and look at the product.
How many in your organization encounter this problem? - All service technicians (1300 for Fabick). Westrac is requesting the same change- 3K.
How frequently do they encounter this problem? Daily. For Fabick, technicians must complete the safety training each time before working on a segment.
What are the workarounds for this? They have a 3rd party mobile app for T5 forms
How is the customer solving this today without this change in place: internal communication
What is the impact to their business to having this enhancement higher in the list? What's driving the urgency
Current state
SVL admin users can enter only text when they post Safety messages. The field is text only.
The message displays on the Tech Dashboard as plain text, there is no hyperlink the user can click on.

This enhancement provides value to all dealers and is a good change for our product. It is a low-hanging fruit with high value.
We have other dealers requesting to add rich text to Safety messages and be able to add hyperlinks, images, format the text.
Propose to add as roadmap and have more control over the time. It is a small work effort, however we cannot take more work for product until the end of Q2/Q3.

Note - While investigating this I found out many dealers asked for the Safety messages be displayed in FLEX and we never added the page. We should look at Flex.
