Currently there is a "Need By" date that is captured when a parts order is made. This field defaults to a value that we have control over via a configuration setting. The problem we are encountering is that this does not take into account non-working days (weekends and holidays). DBS does take this into account. The problem this causes is if we set the default to be 3 days out, if someone orders the part on Thursday this will default to Sunday (a non-working day). This negatively impacts our numbers with Cat. I would imagine that all dealerships need something like this in Servicelink. We would like the ability to configure or otherwise have the need-by date to default to a certain value BUT it should calculate taking into account the non-working days. There might be other logic to this and I'm happy to participate in developing this logic. If other dealerships are interested in this we may be willing to join in development of this improvement. Regardless it needs to be in the product roadmap. I would put this into any ideas portal but I do not know how to get to it since the migration to Texada. Thank you.
