Blanchard now requires the completion of a JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) prior to work starting on any job. A JHA is a safety mechanism that is intended to help a technician recognize hazards prior to starting a repair in both the shop and in the field.
This idea would allow Servicelink to require the completion of the JHA before work can commence (ie: before time entry can occur).
The document is mandatory for each tech assigned to a work order (one JHA for each machine) and has thirteen questions on it that must be answered prior to work commencing. The goal is to create awareness and therefore reduce and eliminate injuries to our technicians.
The JHA document is in CAT Inspect and is to be reviewed daily by the technician’s supervisor to ensure that they are properly filled out.
