We find that techs have tickets that they were scheduled for from previous weeks and they haven't marked all the segments complete. They may still be working on items. Instead of the tech having to waste time scrolling back week after week looking for these workorders, it would be nice to have a tab or button on the dashboard to just show a simple list of all workorders that have ever been assigned to them, regardless of date, and that have not had all segments marked COMPLETE. See attached.
Even though a work order is not assigned to a tech to work on today, they still need visibility to all work orders assigned to them that are not marked complete.
We have identified that this is becoming a feature that more and more users are wanting. Without this, techs lose visibility of outstanding items that they have not yet completed.
Another potential option for this would be to utilise the Responsible Mechanic field in the Segment Edit screen. Any work order segments that are still Work In Progress and assigned to a Technician via the Responsible Mechanic field would ideally appear in this tab that Jim has requested.
To be honest, I feel the "Todays Work Orders" bar at the top of the Tech Dashboard is duplication of what is already visible in the schedule below. This space could be repurposed to have tabs for each customer (With Service In Progress segments) then when clicking the customer tab, all Service In Progress segments that the employee has been assigned the Responsible Mechanic for could be listed. This would become their action list ensuring visibility of every segment they need to complete tasks and mark Service Completed.
