When changing model numbers (per Cat), quotes should be switched over automatically to new model#

We changed model # and existing quotes could not be found. Had to get Uptake involved to update quotes with new model number.

    Multiple meetings have been held to address this issue. The last communications suggest that there is a method to manage this through model admin. Can anyone confirm if this is still an issue?
