In the CL version of iQuote, you can auto tag the customer being quoted by adding a code in DBS to identify the customer as a Corporate Account. It would be nice to do the same think for Governmental customers. Governmental customers and quotes require additional scrutiny and it would be nice to not have to rely on the rep to manually set the value.
Here is that idea - IQUOTE-I-121
All - just a few thoughts from what I've found. There is a customer type indicator field in DBS where you can indicate a corporate customer (which we do). I believe all dealers tag their corporate accounts as 10 in this field. More customer types can be created in DSPSCTAB (such as governmental) but as of now it wouldn't dictate any different quote type. I think I might have an idea out there regarding this because we have the same issue w/ governmental quotes, they need look a bit different in terms of pricing structure, what it shows, ect.
Jayme, it does not. You would have to define a field to be used for that purpose. There are a number of generic fields in DBS that can be "repurposed" and mapped to. This is what you do for Corporate accounts now as there is no "Corporate Account" indicator in DBS either.
Hi Mike: Does DBS have an indicator on the Governmental account in the same way as Corporate?
