Consider changing or allowing an option for different/multiple source of attachments out of DBS into iQuote
Need to pull from price model field because we only categorize attachments by one category in DBS. Allowing dealers to pull from different sources will give some flexibility for this.
1) You have a number of vendors for same or similar items? In my mind I'm thinking things such as fire extinguishers, etc. Is that the use case you were thinking, or is it different?
In some cases, yes we have more than one vendor for similar work tools. I’m not referring to fire extinguisher, ect type items – literally the Work Tools category. Currently we have them in DBS under Division G & R, only utilizing product type code 9. This doesn’t line up with how you all map them so it doesn’t allow us to properly quote them in iQuote, swap WTs on a quote like you can machines (changing source), etc. Does this help?
2) For the alternate sources, where are those, and how do you envision us injecting those into the system?
Really, the sources don’t refer to anything that isn’t already there it’s just mapping to the price model field in DBS vs the product code that its currently mapped too.
