IDEA: Have the option to Embed Links in the Quote Document for links to various sales support material such as: CAT Website, Machine Specalog, Warranty Coverage Types, CVA specifics, Dealership, Credit App, Value Statement, *Current Promotions, and Video's of the machine etc.
This would be a selectable option that would not interfere with a "standard" quote document but would have subtle hints that a customer could follow a link for more information if they chose to do so.
A "Media" heading could be added in iQuote under the Model Admin tab for where links could source from. Similar to how the machine "Model Image" and "Media Library" currently function, but instead of adding a file, a link source would be mapped to embed in the quote document. Furthermore it could be enabled in iQuote by the rep in the "Documents" section to allow the quoter to enable embedded links in the quote. See attached screenshots for reference.
Example 1: - On the "Quote Editor" Tab in iQuote, you could have the option to embed a link under the "Dealer Logo" by selecting a box. Upon opening the quote document and clicking on the Dealer Logo in the top right corner could link a customer to the dealer website, a blank credit application, or current promotion.
Example 2: - Clicking on the image of the machine from the quote document could take you to the Manufactures' or Dealers' Website for the specific machine model, or a Caterpillar produced video of the machine, customer testimonial etc. (lots of possibilities).
Example 3: - Clicking on the "Warranty Coverages" in the quote document could direct you to the specific EPP Warranty document/s that are being quoted (example: PT&H only) vs. having to manually attach a PT&H warranty document to an email or attach from the "Quote Revision Documents" under the "Send Email" function from the "Documents" tab.
WHO (is this for): Customers, Sales Reps, and quoting teams.
WHAT (is it): An awesome idea. See above.
WHY (is this important): Make it easier and faster for the customer to get the specific & relevant information for the machine they're being quoted and decrease the time and effort they need to open other attachments and help the sales reps be more efficient and save time with not having to attach multiple documents to an email.
WHEN (would you use this): When quoting to a tech savvy customer to include important information easily.
WHERE/HOW (would you use it): in iQuote, potentially in the "Quote Editor" page (see above).
