I've spent a tremendous amount of time training our reps on iQuote, and while it is a powerful tool, there are some simple UX fixes that would make it much better. I've put in a separate idea on one (quick quote button where you enter the ID or SN). No search required. Other items are: 1) Enhance the edit button for Sell Price/GP set. Make it more obvious as to what it does. 2) Make the transition from In Progress to Compete more obvious. Many reps get confused when they can't edit a quote. 3) You have to click Payment Terms to get the other tabs to highlight. Why? Confuses people. 4) Not sure how to fix this but the sell, cost and gp% numbers can be extremely confusing to the reps depending on how they have they quote priced up top. It can be downright counter-intuitive sometimes. Need some thought around that. 5) Overall redesign making the navigation more streamlined and obvious. 6) Either add a simple "Save" button instead of the "Save and Go To" function that exists now when editing the agreement header, or auto save when you go to a different section. Many of us have lost work b/c we click the next section to go to instead of the Save and Go To. There's more, but that's it for now.
This should be the number one improvement for iQuote by far. I think the entire system needs to be rebuilt with a better view on UX. It is just very intuitive. The system works great, ONCE you know it well! But it takes literally months to learn all the ins and outs of iquote. I agree with most of what Mike has above but I also have a bunch of other UX suggestions as well. Thanks.
All great ideas that would help the sales reps at our dealership as well.
