We're looking to allow our parts employees functionality in sales link to create opportunities that are not assigned to a rep, that the parts employee can edit the stages themselves. We do not want customer search users to have the functionality to edit all opportunities - only the ones they generate and leave unassigned.

It is currently possible in Customer Search for a user to create a new lead / opportunity and either leave it unassigned or assign it to someone. There is also the ability to view outstanding leads on Customer Search -- this view only shows the leads that the current user created.
