Presenting users with an alphabetical drop down list of machines in inventory would help prevent typos and errors in reporting. Since the nightly batch job in COTI that looks for a matching invoice# in DBS keys off of Stock#, it would be helpful if the correct # was selected up front. Thank you.

Hi Hector, If I understand, you are asking if this field could present values based on the values the user enters? i.e. If the user starts to enter "FJX", the field would present only those values that match what has been typed Is this what you are suggesting? If so, I think that would work great. At least then the user is presented with only valid values and can select from a list, versus totally keying everything from scratch. Thank you! Deborah
Hi Deborah. We were reviewing this idea, and had concerns as the drop down could contain hundreds of stock # or hundreds of serial #. Would an on-the-fly limited drop down work (like when you start typing into Google Search)?
